Bair Shtepin (7-3) of Russia had been riding a three-fight winning streak before his latest fight, when he was defeated in a contenders bout. Shtepin is a well-rounded fighter and a great finisher, four times he won by knockout and twice by submission. Bair was close to get his title shot, but now he has to start his way back to the top.
