Unfortunately, undisputed M-1 Challenge flyweight champion Alexander Doskalchuk got injured and was forced to pull out of the fight in China. His fellow countryman Alexander Pletenko will step in to face the veteran Canadian Chris Kelades in a rematch for the interim title.
Alexander Pletenko (14-4) already fought against Chris Kelades at M-1 Challenge 93 one year ago. In a really close fight Ukrainian got the decision, but decided not to challenge the champion and his teammate and friend Doskalchuk. Taking the fight on a three-week notice Pletenko can win the interim belt while Doskalchuk is out of the game.
38-year-old UFC veteran Chris Kelades (13-4) is one of the most experienced Canadian flyweights. The Greek Assassin won two of three fights in M-1 Global and in China he will have a chance to win the biggest trophy in his career.
