Former UFC fighter from Cuba Yoislandy Izquierdo (12-5) will step into the Rage for the third time in his career on June 28th. Izquierdo signed his contract with M-1 Global after a spectacular knockout victory at the first Road to M-1: USA show last year. That night the Cuban fighter knocked his opponent out cold with a huge head kick in the very first round. In his first fight at M-1 Challenge Yoislandy has been choked in the opening round and now he needs a win to secure his position on the roster.
Russian prospect Aleksey Ilyenko (8-1-1) started his professional MMA career with 8 knockout victories in a row. The world hand-to-hand combat champion won seven of these fights in the very first round and only once his opponent made it to the third round. In the 9th fight Alexey has been knocked out himself and suffered his first defeat. Ilyenko is now motivated to show that it was just a single mistake and he is ready to start a new winning streak.
