One of the strongest lightweights of Finland Jani Salmi (10-4) is a well-rounded grappling master. Half of his victories Salmi got by the way of submission. His M-1 Global debut Jani lost by decision to the next lightweight contender Roman Bogatov, but after that the Finnish fighter defeated his opponent and now he has to win the upcoming fight to stay on roster.
Ruslan Hisamutdinov (8-6) will fight in M-1 Global for the second time on his home soil in Kazan, Russia. Last year at the first M-1 Challenge in Kazan Hisamutdinov put on a spectacular fight, but could not get the W. Since then Ruslan won three fights and lost only once, so he’ll do his best to win the fight in front of his home crowd on September 28th.
